Welcome to Perkins Innovation

Configure your PCD-FDE1 Here.

Log In » Sign Up »

Step 1: Create an account.
You will create an account to store the settings for each of your PCD-FDE1 devices. The settings will consist of the controller type, zone names, source names, and source types. These settings are read by the MyRussound App, in order to display the correct zone and source information to the user.
Step 2: Enter the MAC Address of the PCD-FDE1
After you create an account and log in, you will enter the MAC Address of the PCD-FDE1 that you are configuring. The MAC address can be found on the side of the unit. You will also enter your customers name where the PCD-FDE1 will be installed. Example: Bob Jones Beach House
Step 3: Configure your Controller Type
Select the type of controller you will be connecting the PCD-FDE1 to. If you only have one controller, just select the controller type in the first selection box. If you have two or more controllers, select the appropriate slave controllers for your configuration.
Step 4: Set your Zone Names
Example: Kitchen, Bathroom, Den. These are the names that will be shown to the user in the zone list of the app. You must have a name for each used zone. If a zone in an installation is not being used, leave the zone name blank. The app will then exclude this zone, and not display it.
Step 5: Set your Source Names
Example: FM Tuner, XM Radio, SMS-3. These are the names that will be shown to the user in the source list of the app. You must have a name for each used source. If a source in an installation is not being used, leave the source name blank. The app will then exclude this zone, and not display it.
Step 6: Set your Source Types
You can select Russound sources or generic sources, depending on how your system is configured. Do not select specific Rouusound source types unless they are installed on your system. The PCD will try to query these devices for meta data, if they are not available, timeouts will occur, and the PCD-FDE1 will not function properly.
Step 7: Save configuration
Press the "Save Configuration" button and your settings will be saved to the database. Once your PCD-FDE1 reboots, The new configuration will be loaded and saved to the device. Please note: You will need to have the PCD-FDE1 connected to your router so that the device can download the new configuration from the Perkins servers.
Step 8: Repower and test
With the PCD-FDE1 connected to your home network, repower the unit to load the new configuration. Once the PCD-FDE1 is rebooted, you should see the USB LED flashing four times per second, this indicated that the system is fully booted and working properly. Now open the MyRussound App and the system should be automatically detected and ready for your enjoyment.

Thank you for your purchase of the PCD-FDE1 network controller. We hope that this product will extend the life of your older Russound multizone audio system, and provide years of enjoyment.
